Cottage Girls Cookbook:

A collection of recipes , baskets and small reflections that celebrate friendships, family and the craft they love.

FOOD + BASKETS: For more than 20 years a group of basket makers have gathered at the Cottage House in GA, weaving wonderful baskets, creating life-long friendships and sharing great food. The Cottage Girls Cookbook is a full-color collection of recipes, baskets and small reflections that celebrate friendships, family and the craft they love. Basket teachers Trisha Brown, Alice Ogden and Eric Taylor contributed recipes as well. Eric's wife, Lynne Talbot-Taylor did an amazing job designing the 177 page hard bound book.

Basket Weaving at the

Atlanta High Museum of Art

On June 10, 2018 members of GBA will be demonstrating weaving a picnic basket at the Atlanta High Museum of Art, hosting “Pooh’s Picnic Basket Demonstration” in coordination with the exhibition of E. H. Shepard original sketches.  Shepard’s sketches have captured the hearts of young and old for years bringing to life our dear friend, Winnie the Pooh.  The Shepard exhibition organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, explores the history and legacy of Pooh through original sketches, photographs, memorabilia and letters.   We hope you will come out to enjoy this wonderful – and free – Second Sunday Family Program at the High.   Basketry Demonstration hours are 1 – 4 PM.   Many thanks to our friends at Homestead Atlanta for recommending our participation in this wonderful program.
