The GBA Summer Workshop is back again! Join us at the Woodstock Community Church in Woodstock, Ga. for a great day of weaving with amazing teachers.  

You don’t want to miss it!

 

Registration Fee is only $45, which includes lunch. Complete the registration form and return by July 9 with your $45 payment.

PLEASE NOTE: Classes will be filled as registrations are received! You may also pay by Zelle using the email rooseannette@gmail.com on your banking app or website. This email is connected to the GBA account at Wells Fargo. If paying electronically, you may also send the completed registration to the same email address.

 

Lunch will be provided and will include a choice of sandwich, veggies/fruit, chips, cold drinks, and dessert.

Join in the fun! Bring a small unwrapped item for raffle! Mike Garrett from Repurposed by Mike (The Base Guy) will be vending!

You are welcome to attend even if you don’t want to take a class but you will still need to register and pay $45.

This year’s workshop is again being held at the Woodstock Community Church in Woodstock, Ga. north of Atlanta. This location is conveniently located off I-575 between Ridgewalk Pkwy. and Town Lake Pkwy. and offers many hotel and lodging choices.

Class Choices

Choosing only 1 class option will not ensure enrollment in that class. Classes will be filled as the registrations forms and payments are received.   You’ll get your assignment by email, or if you prefer to receive your class assignment by mail, send a Stamped, Self-Addressed Envelope.

 

You’ll get your class assignment by July 11. Project fee (check made out to the teacher or electronic payment through Zelle) must be received by July 30th to secure your place in class.

Folded Bark Basket

All levels

Cost $75

Description: A pre-dried and folded piece of poplar bark will be

provided and students will choose from an assortment of natural materials to attach a handle & rim trim, as well as various embellishments. Students will complete at least one basket during the workshop. All tools and materials will be provided.

Size: 10”H x 15”W woven on a 12" Wooden Base

This beautiful basket is all about the shape which I refer to as

Big Belly Design. There will be several color choices available.

The overlays and unique rim makes it a really fun basket to weave.

The handles are specially designed to complement the unique size and shape.

Pattie Hawkins’ Small Stained Glass Windows Tote

Cost $45 Size – 10” x 5” x 14” (with handle)\

Limit 6.

Patti Hawkins (Kolodziej) is a very wellknown basket designer and

teacher and a friend of mine! When Patti designed this basket, she

was looking for a functional tote that was fairly easy to make but

with some “pizzazz!” You can do the overlays in the same color, in different colors, or in natural (which provides lovely texture). You tell me your color choices for the overlay (karengramenz@yahoo.com) and they will be included in the kit.
