simultaneously, using specific techniques that

their finished ash basket to form a vessel with
many uses. They will learn spoke shaping and

Students will paint a piece of watercolor paper
with one or more colors, cut into strips with a
pasta cutter and then use the strips to continuous
weave a cathead style of basket. Size of
basket, (height and diameter), is determined
by the number of spokes. Curls can be added.

hairdryer. Some shaping experience is helpful.

formation of the basket sides, as well as
